Books and People

I have heard it said that the two things that will change your life the most are the books you read and the people you meet. I think, if I'm not mistaken, it is a quote by Howard Hendricks. Most recently I heard it quoted by Linda Werner of Circle Christian Schools. I love this quote regardless of who said it! I am reminded in my own life that God has used these things over and over to grow me up and to mold my heart to be more like His.

Here are a few books I have read recently (other than my daily Bible Time) that have greatly impacted me:
  1. Strengths Finder 2.0 - Tom Rath
  2. Handoff - Jeff Myers
  3. You Are My Hiding Place - (Devotional Readings of Amy Carmichael) - David Hazzard
  4. Say Goodbye to Whining, Complaining, and Bad Attitudes in You and Your Kids! - Turansky & Miller
  5. Your Child's Strengths - Jennifer Fox

So, what have you read recently that has had an impact on you?

Looking Forward,
Stacey

  2. Okay Stace...our pastor just preached on this the other day. He basically said if you've met a person with any depth of character...ask them what books they've read.

  3. Reckless Faith (Thanks to you) and the Book of Acts. The Holy Spirit is teaching me alot about Himself right now.
